How did I get started racing? I can remember going to the Jamesport track when I was 11 or 12 years old with my dad, Terry Kinnison and Charlie Moulin. I loved racing. I knew I had to be involved in it somehow. It was addictive and fun. Winston (Hummingbird) Speedway was not open long when I bought my first Stock Car from Greg Querry. Scott Adkison and I put together the 997 and raced the end of the season of 1998. Not good, but not bad for a couple of guys who didn't know a lot about setting up a car.

The next year we ran a full season. There were around 50 stock cars a night. 20 made the A Feature, 30 went home. We made the A main one time through a heat race, the rest came through the B Feature, but we made them all. I believe running all those extra B features helped. It made you run harder to make the show. Over the next few years, we learned a little, won a few and had a lot of fun.

In 2004 I started driving a Limited Late Model for Henry Curtis. I drove for Henry until the end of 2007. I appreciate all of the opportunities that were given to me, and all of the memories. In the 4 years with Henry we won 29 races together, 17 of them in 2006. We raced anywhere they ran LLM but Grain Valley was our home track. We traveled to places like CMS in Warrensburg, Double X Speedway in California MO (had a lot of fun there), Callaway Raceway in Fulton, 24 Raceway in Moberly, Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Winston Speedway, Adrian, Nevada and LA Raceway in Lamonte. I met a lot of really good people and racers in that time and a few rivals and made some good friends. We learned a lot about race tracks and setups, but still have a lot to learn.

In 2008, Estesmotorsporsts bought an A-Mod and is running on Saturday nights at I-35 Speedway in Winston.

Racing has come a long way since I was 11: to pulling your car to the track with a truck and open trailer, to semi rigs and covered trailers, to the amount of money you can actually put under a hood. But it's still about the same thing: Going fast and collecting a trophy. And its still fun.
